Bible Questions -Answered!

Q. What was it like before our world was created?

A.  The Bible tells us that the earth had no shape and that a roaring, raging ocean covered everything. The wind howled and there was total darkness. There were no stars, no moon, no flowers, and no people; just windy, wet darkness. The power of God moved over the emptiness.

 Q. What did God create first?

A.  The first thing God created was light. Then God separated the light from the darkness and called it day. He called the darkness night. God made light on the first day.

 Q. Did God create dinosaurs?

A.  On the fifth day God created all kinds of creatures: birds, and bugs, worms and weasels, lions and leopards, and, yes, dinosaurs.

Q. Why were people created?

 A.  God created humans to have a relationship with him. That's what it means to be created in God's image. We don't look like God, but God wants a special loving relationship with us.

Q. What did Adam and Eve tell God about eating the fruit?

A.  Adam said that he had eaten some fruit, but he tried to blame Eve. Then Eve blamed the serpent in the garden. Eating the fruit helped Adam and Eve understand good and evil, so they were ashamed.

Q. How did God punish Adam and Eve?

A.  God sent them out of the garden. God told the man that he would have to work hard to grow food. The woman would have to work hard bearing children.

Q. Who were Adam and Eve's children?

A.  Cain was their first son. He grew up to be a farmer. Their next son was named Abel and he kept sheep. Later Seth was born.
