Faith Rest Faith Rest: Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who come to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. The only means of appropriating salvation is by faith. The credit does not belong to the subject but to the object, not to the one who believes but to what is believed in. When sinful man believes in Christ, the subject has no merit. The object, Jesus Christ has all the merit. Only spotless sinless Christ satisfies the absolute standards of God's integrity. So In this manner fallen man enters that plan of God without compromising God's character or corrupting His plan. We are saved by grace; and must live by grace. Therefore, let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it. Heb. 4:1 True rest is only found with God. |
