New Testament Stories Jesus Heals a Deaf Man
And again He went out from the region of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the sea of Galilee. Mark 7:31 Jesus and His friends went to a part of the country called Decapolis, or Ten Towns. Many people came to see Him and brought sick people to Him. One day someone brought and man who was deaf. He could not hear, and could not speak clearly. Jesus took him away from the crowd. He put His finger in the man's ear and touched his tongue. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and sighed. "Be opened!" He said. The man's ears began to hear. He was able to talk so that people could understand. "Don't tell anyone about this," Jesus told the man and his friends. But the more He told them to be quiet about His miracles, the more they told everyone. People began to say, "Jesus can do everything! He can even make deaf people hear!" |
