Jesus is Baptized

Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John to be baptized by him.  Matthew 3:13

                              Jesus left his home in the part of Israel called Galilee. He went to the Jordan River and asked to be baptized by John the Baptist.

     "How can this be?" asked John. "It would be better if you baptized me!"

     Jesus said, "Let is be this way for now, so everything will be right."

     Then John took Jesus to the water and baptized him. As soon as Jesus was baptized he came out of the river. Suddenly, the skies were opened and he saw God's Spirit coming down on him like a dove. He heard a voice from heaven say, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased!"
