SIN

Sin: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

     Simply put sin is missing the mark, or coming short of God's standard. Sin is totally opposite of God.

      There are 3 kinds of sin:

Imputed...we are all born with sin because of Adams sin in the garden. Through his blood we have sin imputed in our nature. Rom. 5:12

Inherent Sin...this is the sin that we inherit from our parents. John 3:6

Personal Sin...this is the sin that results from the choices we make. Romans 3:23

     There are 3 categories of sin:

Mental...our thoughts

Verbal...our words

Overt...our actions

The fact that God sent His only Son to come to earth and die in our place for our sins, is proof of how terrible sin is.
