The Mustard Seed

And He Said, "How shall we picture the kingdom  of God, or by what parable shall we present it?"

 Mark 4:30-34

                              This is a story Jesus told. The mustard seed is very small. When it falls to the ground, we can hardly see it. But then what happens?

     The seed hides in the dark ground. The sun warms it. The rain makes is swell and burst open. Then shoots come forth and make a plant.

     When the plant grows up, it is like a small tree! The tiny seed has become a bush that puts out branches where all the birds of the sky can come and rest and make nests.

     "This is what the kingdom of God is like," Jesus told His friends.
