The Widows Penny

And He Sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the multitude were putting money into the treasury, and many rich people were putting in large sums. Mark 12:41

                              Jesus went to Jerusalem for the Passover feast. He walked around the city; teaching and healing. On day He sat near the temple treasury, where people dropped their money offerings for God. Some very rich people put in many dollars.

      Finally, a poor old woman came along. Her husband had died. She wore ragged clothes and didn't have much to eat. She put in two coins. Together they were worth one penny. It was all she had.

     Jesus told his friends, "This poor woman gave more than all those rich people. They have so much money that they will not miss what they gave. But this woman gave all the money that she had in the whole world.
